 15 bevy of splendors are set to square off for top honors in a tight Miss Carnival catwalk beauty contest to be held at Stop Over open-air entertainment hub in the ancient city Saturday.

The throng of beauties drawn from across the country are set mesmerize modeling lovers who are anticipated to swarm the inaugural Miss Carnival cavalcade.

Organizer and  event Manager, Vivacious Chipo Miosha Moyana who is also a top model  promised fireworks to modelling enthusiasts saying stunning  contestants will set alight the function.

‘’We are looking forward to host a memorable beauty pageant that will set alight our city. We have effervescent young beautiful ladies competing for top prices and modelling lovers are certainly in for a good treat,” said Moyana.

The Young modelling agent says her passion in showcasing natural beauty drove her to theme the event African beauty and Culture.

“We will not only be celebrating our African beauty but preserving our culture as well, that’s why we came up with a theme inspired by who we are as an African people, we are proud  beautiful ladies of the African generation ,” she added.

She said some of the contestants were drawn from as far as Gweru, Zvishavane, Bulawayo and Chinhoyi.

The winner of the contest, Miss Carnival and her runners up will win tickets to travel to Polokwane, South Africa for some few days, on top of price money which will be revealed to the winners.

A panel of judges of high repute are set to announce winners, the judges dare also drawn from around the country.

 Among them are prominent Chinhoyi fashion designer and model, Judith Chikwanya popularly known as Miss J and local top model, Gamuchirai Jonhera.
