Vivacious,  Shamah Nyasha  Mawoko was crowned Miss Carnival after she shrugged off fierce competition form  11 other contestants at a trendy and glitzy beauty  pageant  held  at the Stop Over  joint over the weekend.

The stunning 23 year old, Great Zimbabwe University student was all smiles after she was adjudged the Queen of the prestigious catwalk that attracted contestants from across the country.

Kudzaishe Kiara Matongo was announced the 1st Princess while Jane Tanya Zaveni was named the 2rnd Princess.

They were joined on the stage by Nyaradzo Mhere and Talent Prisca Moyo who were declared Miss Personality and Miss Talent respectively.

Mawoko from the city of Kings and Queens (Bulawayo) mesmerized modelling lovers and Judges with her scintillating cat walk and splendid looks on the ramp.

She could not hide here joy upon landing the top gong.

“I am really excited over winning this prestigious Crown, I would like to thank everyone for the support and the almighty for making my dream in modelling a reality. I also dedicate this to my family,” She said.

Mawoko and her Princesses walked away with cash prizes, tickets to travel to Polokwane city in South Africa for holiday among others prizes.

Orgainiser and Director of Miss Carnival Chipo Moyana said the contest went well as expected and hailed modeling fans for a high turnout.

“The show was amazing, fans were treated to some fine cat walk experience and the whole function was filled with glitter and glamour, it was graced by men and women of high standing in our community hence it was highly successful,” she said.

She added that the show is now an annual event and will be held around the same time next year and will be bigger and better.
