The Masvingo Media Centre will offer secure working space to Freelance and full time journalists, citizen journalists’, trainee journalists and civil society. The Media Centre will offer training to residents and also already practicing media personnel information gathered will include, how Civil Society can work with citizen journalists, alternative and conventional media for purposes of an effective media lobby and advocacy; how social media can be utilized in the practice of citizen journalism in the prevailing political technological and media contexts; how to deal with the problem of political polarization in community media initiatives; leveraging citizen journalism and social media for citizen participation in policy formulation, monitoring policy implementation and monitoring the human rights environment
